The Gram-O-Graph combines two core elements of hip-hop Culture: writing and rap. In contrast to conventional turntables, it does not render sound but records it and turns it into a unique sound-visualization. A graffiti marker substitutes the needle. Within the object, a Bluetooth speaker is embedded which renders the sound. The drafting machine, as well as the rotation of the disc, are each driven by a step motor. Through a sound sensor and an Arduino Uno, the sound is used as input, processed and influences the amplitude in real-time. In the end, each recipient can take home his very own tag.
